Dear Chinese educators,

Get ready for a spectacular showcase of talent! We are thrilled to announce the inaugural CLASS National Chinese Talent Contest — an event dedicated to empowering our K-12 students to display their talents, shining a spotlight on your Chinese program, and marking their accomplishments with joy!

The contest features six categories: singing(歌唱), dancing (舞蹈), instruments (乐器), arts (美术), sports(体育), and language (语言).

• Each teacher holding a valid CLASS membership can submit up to 5 student entries. However, within EACH OF THE SIX CATEGORIES (歌唱、舞蹈、乐器、美术、体育、或者语言), CLASS member teachers are limited to a MAXIMUM of two entries. 
• The contest spans three levels: elementary school, middle school, and high school.
• Specifically, for the “Language语言类” category, judging will be conducted separately for regular, immersion, and heritage learners.
• Entries may be submitted as individual projects or group collaborations involving 2 or more participants. 
• All submissions must be original creations, and videos are required to be under 5 minutes in length.

All award-winning entries will be showcased on the CLASS YouTube Channel on February 10, 2024, in celebration of Chinese New Year with Chinese learners, parents, and educators.

Submissions must be completed via Google Form “Student Entry form”, and all the following files must be submitted TOGETHER by January 15, 2024.

*** Participants involved in group projects must each submit an individual student entry form.

- （歌舞类）歌唱、舞蹈 ，戏曲
- （乐器类）中西乐器
- （语言类）诗朗诵，相声，快板，绕口令，小品 （母语，及非母语）
- （美术类）书法绘画、泥人，中国结，陶器，瓷器，折纸，剪纸，做灯笼，木工，雕刻、脸谱
- （体育类）悠悠球/功夫/太极剑/扯铃
