Qualifications and Description:
Applicants should have teaching experience in this subject area, and a Master’s Degree and/or teaching credential is preferred.
Experience and/or qualifications to teach Mandarin 1, 2, and 3 are required. Assignment currently involves 3 sections. However, depending on qualifications and needs in other areas (math/business), the position could develop into full-time.
The candidate should be a self-starter, very knowledgeable in his/her teaching field, flexible and passionate about education.

Description: Choate Rosemary Hall seeks a full time instructor of Mandarin Chinese with a start date of August 25, 2015. Currently Choate offers six levels of Chinese from beginning to AP (fifth year) and, in the sixth year level, Contemporary Issues in Chinese Language and Culture. Candidates must be able to teach first through fifth-year Chinese at the advanced level. Ideal candidates are expected to have three to five years of teaching experience and an advanced degree.
